The Excel Workbook 'Road lengths' contains two data sheets,

  • Sheet Great Britain 2005;
  • Sheet Great Britain 2006; and
  • Sheet Great Britain + NI 2007

Contents of the data sheets are as follows

Sheet Great Britain 2005

Block A.5 to S.23 gives the lengths of roads of various classes in 2005 for the English regions, England, Wales, Scotland and Great Britain, from DfT Road lengths in Great Britain: 2005.

Block A.48 to V.266 gives the lengths of roads of various classes in 2005 for English counties and unitary authorities, Welsh and Scottish unitary authorities and for Great Britain.

Sheet Great Britain 2006, Sheet Great Britain + NI 2007

These are similar to the previous sheet, except that the 2007 sheet includes data for Northern Ireland.
