This section contains seven Excel Workbooks containing data for the EU 25 nations, plus USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Russia, India, China and Brazil. The specific Workbooks are:
14.2 Casualties EU
The Excel Workbook 'Casualties EU' contains two data sheets. These are:
- Sheet EU25 road accidents; and
- Sheet EU25 road fatalities
Contents of the data sheets are as follows
Sheet EU25 road accidents
Block A.5 to T 41 gives the numbers of road accidents involving personal injury from 1970 to 2006 for the EU 25 states, accession states and associated states, from EU Energy and Transport in Figures 2007 Table 3.7.4.
Sheet EU25 road fatalities
Block A.5 to T.41 gives the numbers of road accident fatalities from 1970 to 2005 for the EU 25 states, accession states and associated states, from EU Energy and Transport in Figures 2006 Table 3.7.1.
Block AU.5 to BN.41 gives the derived fatality rates from 1970 to 2006 for the EU 25 states, accession states and associated states, from EU Energy and Transport in Figures 2007 Table 3.7.1.
Block A.55 to S.73 gives the numbers of road accident fatalities by type of road user for years between 2002 and 2005 (mainly 2004) for the EU 15 states, from EU Energy and Transport in Figures 2006 Table 3.7.3. Block A.107 to S.125 gives similar data from E&T in Figures 2007.
Block A.160 to K.190 gives country rankings on various measures of road fatalities.
